Small Acreage Services

Helping small landowners is our specialty.

If you have a hobby farm, ranch, ranchette, or horse property, we can help you improve your pasture quality by getting rid of invasive weeds and replacing them with desirable grasses. Whether you are battling cheatgrass, sagebrush, cactus, thistle, or other pests, we will help you identify the problem weeds and develop a custom treatment plan. We can make recommendations for particular herbicides and application timing or, if you already know what you want, we are happy to use the product of your choice. After treating your problem weeds with herbicide, we can even use our drone to reseed the area with native grasses.

Also, if you are battling insects like grasshoppers, flies, white grubs, cutworms, or other unwanted pests, we can treat the area with an aerial application of insecticide using our drone.

Is cheatgrass taking over your pasture?

It’s not just reducing the productivity of your pasture, it’s a fire hazard. Cheatgrass is a noxious weed that invades grasslands and replaces native plants. It thrives in disturbed areas, such as areas that have been overgrazed. Its early season growth habit gives it a competitive advantage to native species. It reproduces rapidly and then turns brown and dies in early summer. This dead vegetation is highly flammable and creates an extreme wildfire hazard. Cheatgrass is difficult to get rid of, but we can help you develop a custom treatment plan. We will help you choose the best chemical and time of year to achieve the best result. After we use our drone to apply herbicide, we can use it to reseed the area with native grasses.

No job is too small.

Do the “big guys” not want to be bothered with your smaller property? Whether you have 5 acres or 100 acres of pasture or farmland that you need sprayed, we’ve got you covered. We can spray up to 25 acres an hour at 2 gallons per acre, making quick work of corners and hobby farms. If your acre is larger than 100 acres, we may still be able to help— call us to discuss.
